Notes
The cross is one of the most recognizable symbols in the world.
But for Christians, the cross is much more than a symbol.
It is the center of the Gospel.
At the cross, we see both the seriousness of sin and the depth of God's love.
Humanity needed more than advice.
We needed redemption.
We needed reconciliation.
We needed forgiveness.
And God provided what we could never provide for ourselves through Jesus Christ.
The cross reminds us that God's love is not merely a feeling. It is sacrificial.
Jesus willingly gave Himself for us.
The Gospel tells us that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
That means God's love was not waiting for us to become perfect.
He loved us in our brokenness.
