The Faith That Stands When Everything Shakes

When everything around us changes, God remains our refuge, strength, and unshakable foundation. This message explores how genuine faith trusts God even before circumstances change.

There are seasons in life when everything seems to shake at once. Plans change. Doors close. People disappoint us. The future becomes uncertain, and we begin asking questions we cannot answer.

But Scripture gives us a powerful reminder: our confidence was never supposed to rest on circumstances. Our confidence rests in God.

Psalm 46 begins by declaring that God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Notice that the Psalm does not promise that trouble will never come. Instead, it tells us where to run when trouble comes.

Faith does not mean pretending that everything is fine. Faith means knowing that God is greater than what we are facing.

Hebrews 11 teaches us that faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance concerning what we cannot yet see. Faith looks beyond the visible situation and trusts the invisible God.

Abraham stepped forward without knowing every detail of the journey. Moses chose God's purpose over the temporary treasures of Egypt. David faced Goliath because he understood that the size of the enemy was not greater than the power of God.

The same God who sustained them is still faithful today.
